Stay In The Ship

And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, Whose I am, and Whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.” Acts 27:22-24

Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.” Acts 27:31-32

For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the Only Begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:2-4

Though the storm rages around us and takes from us all that we have, if we trust in the ship, it will bring us to a sure foundational shore of safety.

The Lord will guide us into the plans He has for us and there will be those things which He will have us do for Him, either swim in the raging waters, or simply hold onto even the smallest piece of faith in Him, but if we trust Him, and continue to believe in Him, He will carry us through, for His Promises are true, and His Ways are higher than ours. We may not know His Plans entirely, but we must trust in His righteousness that all things work together for our good, and to further His kingdom through our testimony of His mighty hands upon us.

Stay in the ship. Trust Jesus and be ye saved. Continue to trust in Him and be ye sanctified. Our ship is Christ Jesus and Him crucified. It is the Cross, where it all was paid for. All of it. Remain in Christ; stay in the ship. He’ll carry us through.

All glory and honor and praise to the King of kings, the Prince of peace, the Savior of the world, Christ Jesus, forever and ever. Amen!
