Merry Christmas

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:9-14

Indeed. Christ, our Savior, was born among men that He would go to the Cross for us all. The ultimate Gift of everlasting life through His shed blood awaits any and all who will believe. No more enmity between God and men. Peace through Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, and His voluntary Sacrifice, freedom to all, absolutely free of charge, is ours.

It’s not the money spent in loved ones. It’s not the gifts exchanged between one another. It isn’t the time we spend with one another. It’s not about any of those things, though those things can reflect the Truth.

It’s about God’s everlasting mercy and grace. It’s about the Love of God manifested in One, Christ the Lord.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17

Merry Christmas, friends.
