Psalm 93

“The Lord reigneth, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith He hath girded Himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. The floods have lifted up, O Lord , the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh Thine house, O Lord , for ever.”

Psalm 93

God has not only established the world; but, because of Him, the world cannot be moved from His hand. It is He Who causes the Universe to expand, with the galaxies thereof rotating around one another, and they themselves rotating around black holes at their centers. Within each galaxy, there are multitudes of planetary systems circling stars of various sizes, great and small, tilted on most every axis angle spinning seemingly wildly, yet in mathematical precision. Make no mistake, God made it all, controls it all, and is so much greater than all of it. The stars themselves, both great and small, were but spoken into existence by His very lips.

That being said, what is a wave to God? What are many waves? What are all the tsunamis which ever made landfall combined in power compared to the greatness of God? They are as nothing but noise makers to Him. They shout at the gates and threaten, but they cannot undo that which God has done. Those waves, even if they don’t know it to be so, serve God.

So it is with the noisemakers in our lives. You know, those situations or people who come against us and threaten our livelihoods, our well being, even our piece of mind? If we would merely trust in the Lord, the Self same Lord made mention of in this psalm, then we will soon realize that even if the situations or people take from us our livelihood, our well being, or even our piece of mind, there is One they can never reach. One that can never be taken away nor destroyed.

The Lord, Jesus Christ, Maker of Heaven and Earth, Savior of all mankind, perfect Prince of Peace, Comforter, Wonderful, the Rose of Sharon, the Fairest of ten thousands, God Almighty made flesh, the God-Man is our all in all. None is greater, there is none even beside Him. He is clothed in strength and majesty. His testimonies are very sure, for He is the Truth, the Way, and the Life.

He is holy and perfect, and He is our Treasure in Heaven. He has built us mansions, aligned upon streets of gold. Where He, therefore, goes, so we shall follow, for He is the Door to eternity, to our life more abundant and eternal. None can snatch us from His hand, no matter how hard they break against the shore. Jesus is so much greater than those puny waves! So…

Take heart and be of good cheer! The good news is that Jesus went to the Cross to die once for us all and rose again. Just repent and believe! Be redeemed by His shed Blood and come under the protective hand of your Creator, because rain or shine, fair weather or bad, we can all have peace and joy in knowing He is there and He holds each of us just as well as He holds the stars in their place, and the waves at the shore.
