Given To Give

“(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; He hath given to the poor: His righteousness remaineth for ever. Now He that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)” 2 Corinthians 9:9-10

It is always all God.

The part we play is in following our convictions of faith. If we believe Jesus is Who He says He is, then we will want to give the control of our lives over to the Holy Spirit. It is God, through the operation of the Third Person of the tri-holy Trinity, Who makes the changes. All we do is follow.

Jesus said, “If any man would follow after me, let him deny himself, pick up his cross, and follow Me.” That is how this life works. He leads, we follow. All the work, the real work, is done by the Holy Spirit.

We must realize that all things created were created by Him, which, by extension, includes the monetary system. Knowing this, we must consider money, as a creation, to be a blessing, not to be worshipped as it’s Creator should be.

Freely we were given, freely we should give of all things, spiritual or physical. God created it and if we give it away, He will supply more.
