“Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.” – The Old Testament Prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah recognized he was one within the tribe of Judah, who God was saying had turned away from Him, like Israel, and was playing the harlot. By the Mosaic Law, God could have divorced Judah, as He said He had Israel, but He did not. He pleaded with Judah to repent and come back to Him. In fact, He pleaded with His divorced wife Israel to return as well, because He is a good God and desires all of us to come to Him and be saved.
With that very thought in mind, fellow believer, it is not too late, you have not done too much. God still loves you and He pleads with you this very hour to turn back to Him. What I believe about possibly losing your salvation is irrelevant. The question is, why would you take that chance? Stop. Repent. Come back to the Lord.
For those of you on the fence, if you remain reading this, then you must know He is drawing you. He calls out to you right now. Don’t ignore Him. He loves you so much that He does not want you to suffer any longer. He wishes to replace your sorrow with everlasting joy, your tears to be dried, your burdened heart made new. Come down from the mountain ridge into Jerusalem. Get off the fence and leave the world behind. There is greater than anything of this world to be had by all who choose to come to Jesus.
Don’t live a life in vain seeking Heaven any other way but Jesus.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:6
